HOW TO GERMINATE SEEDS
Navigating the initiation of your cannabis cultivation journey begins with mastering the fundamental step of seed germination. We'll show you the paper towel method because it stands out as the preferred approach for seed germination due to its simplicity, providing a controlled and observable environment that ensures optimal moisture for successful sprouting.
Prepare the Seeds: Upon acquiring your seeds, employ a straightforward approach:
Wet a few paper towels, placing the seeds inside and wrapping them gently. Ensure the towels are damp but not dripping. Find a dark, room-temperature space, such as a kitchen cabinet, to let the magic unfold.
Witness the Crack: After approximately a day, witness the remarkable moment when the seed cracks open, initiating the sprouting process.
Transplanting the Sprout: Once the sprout attains a length of 3/4 of an inch, transition to a 1"x1" PLUG or 2"x2" pot filled with your chosen growing medium, such as Coco Coir. Follow these steps:
-
-
Wet the growing medium thoroughly, ensuring water comes out of the bottom of the pot.
-
Create a hole roughly the size of a pencil and about an inch into the growing medium.
-
Place the seed in the hole with the sprout facing downward and the seed upward.
-
Sprinkle a small amount of growing medium into the hole to cover up the sprouting seed.
