This method is recommended because it grants complete control over the light source. Standard house lights won't suffice; you need dedicated lighting for optimal results. Horticultural grow lights are desgined to properly grow plants indoors using specific LEDS or Bulbs.

Options include CFL, CMH, HPS/MH, or LED lights. I'm not just throwing letters at you—there genuinely are various types of lights, but we're not here to recite the alphabet. Our recommendation is to invest in LED lights designed for horticultural growth. They are energy-efficient, cost less in hydro, and generate minimal heat while delivering performance comparable to HPS/MH lighting (which used to be the standard before the rise of LEDs).
